Tour of Spider Agile Technology

Thank you Hap and Kevin for an excellent tour of your facility and insight into how Spider has made itself a strong competitor in the market of adaptable power distribution systems.

There are over six billion feet of homerun wiring and cabling in the ceiling plenums of North America. Many of them simply cut and abandoned. While the building code recently banned this practice – where is the wire ending up? Mostly the landfill – even in times when recycling copper is worthwhile.

Spider Agile Technology offers sustainable, adaptable power distribution systems.

Spider's building is as environmentally sustainable as the products they manufacture. They have solar arrays, solar thermal panels, xeriscaped gardens and a gym.

Company Profile:
Spider Agile Technology
Spider Manufacturing was founded in 1991, as a pioneer in modular plug and play power systems for commercial buildings. In 2008 Spider joined DIRTT Environmental Solutions as a subsidiary company and part of the bigger Modular Interior Construction picture. The name change to Spider Agile Technology coincided with the new ownership structure; and reflects the companies poise to take advantage of the new technologies discovered every day.

Modular power systems have the benefit of creating far less waste than conventional wiring. They also have the utility of being easily rerouted allowing the space they are installed in to be re-purposed, or customized more efficiently.

Spider Agile Technologies Is located in a beautiful new plant on Fenwick Road, next to Scandia off highway 97.
