Education
The APICS Okanagan Chapter has partnered with Okanagan College to
create a provincial certificate, the Production and Inventory Management
Certificate (PIM), consisting of five modules.
Completing the College certificate helps prepare candidates for the
APICS CPIM international certification exams.
The APICS international certification, CPIM (Certified in Production
and Inventory Management), is obtained separately from the college by
successfully passing the five APICS exams.
The Okanagan Chapter schedules the APICS exams as required to
coincide with the end of the College courses.
Okanagan College
Production and Inventory Management Certificate (PIM)
Because
efficient production and inventory management systems are crucial to
your company’s success, you want to acquire an in-depth understanding of
the latest techniques and trends in operation around the world. Achieve
this goal by completing the Production and
Inventory Management (PIM) Certificate program offered
at Okanagan College.
In this program, you will become knowledgeable in a variety of skills
including production planning, material and capacity requirements
planning, manufacturing excellence, just-in-time ordering, and other
related systems and technologies. Your ability to predict outcomes
accurately will help boost your company’s productivity and
competitiveness.
APICS CPIM Certification
Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
APICS
certifications are recognized worldwide as standards of professional
excellence and quality within the manufacturing and service industries.
The Okanagan College PIM program also helps to prepare students to write
the APICS Educational Society for Resource Management exams (separate
registration and fees) and thereby achieve international designation as
being Certified in Production and Inventory
Management (CPIM). Holding a CPIM credential confirms
that you understand the design, operation, and control of systems for
the manufacture and distribution of products and services.
The five modules that make up the Okanagan College Production and
Inventory Management (PIM) Certificate; and the APICS Certified in
Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification are the
